Season 4 Overview

01 "Billy and The Rev" California
These hard-core extremists call themselves the ‘mountain dogs’. They have a few tricks up their sleeves AND on their ski poles as they tackle Southern California’s Big Bear Mountain and attempt to lose the trackers on their tail.

02 "Jessica & Lauren" British Columbia
They’re sisters, but definitely not two peas in a pod. Lauren is an aspiring opera singer, while Jessica is a pole-dancing instructor. How these talents will help them escape Mantracker through the mountainous terrain of Big White, British Columbia, is anyone’s guess. But it sure will be fun to watch.

03 "Rene & Dave" Saskatchewan
Brothers and business partners Rene and Dave lead us on a chase through Big River, Northern Saskatchewan, the land of lakes and woods that inspired the conservationist ‘Grey Owl’. But it’s virgin ground for Mantracker, who brings his considerable skills to the boreal forest.

04 "Chelsea & Trev" California
Mantracker adjusts his tracking skills to suit the California high desert abutting the Mojave. He’s up against Chelsea - a volatile mix of bush smarts and spiritual instincts - and Trev, the entrepreneur, who hopes his back-country experience and level head will take them to the finish.

05 "Andrew & Hainsley" Ontario
Back for another chase around Elliot Lake, Mantracker is batting 500 in Northern Ontario, but it always makes him cranky! Andrew and Hainsley are fast-talking, city-slickers with a love of sports, the outdoors and themselves! Will they be putting Mantracker in the Hall of Fame? Or taking him down for the count.

06 "Brian & Julie" British Columbia
Siblings Brian and Julie have spent a lot of time together and feel their unspoken communication will help them ‘feel’ their way to victory. They’ve got the bush experience - in Ontario. But now they’re being chased by the tracker in British Columbia, and it’s a whole new back country.

07 "Tommy & Steve" Newfoundland
Mantracker goes in search of a pair of Newfoundlanders over the rolling foothills of the Long Range Mountains on The Rock’s west coast. They all tackle the ‘tuckamore’ while the prey leave ‘treats’ for the trackers.

08 "Mike & Adam" Ontario
Brothers-in-law Mike and Adam have book smarts alright; they're both teachers. But will all that theoretical knowledge translate into solid strategy as they tough it out in the bush surrounding North Bay, Ontario?

Mantracker (Terry Grant) Interview 2007

Imagine being plunked down in the woods somewhere with someone you met just hours ago. The clock is ticking. You need to reach a pre-determined area to be safe. That area just happens to be 40 kilometres away. You've only got a small backpack with just the bare essentials... and a time limit. 36 hours. Reach the finish line in 36 hours or less. Sounds fairly simple, doesn't it? Oh - and you're being stalked.

Your tracker is experienced, though you've got a head start. Your map and compass will come in handy, but taking the easy route will surely lead to capture. Capture means 'Game Over', even if you are mere yards from the finish line. Leaving no tracks is your best bet but when you're sprinting through the bush trying to evade the Mantracker, that's no easy feat. He's on horseback and although he doesn't have a map or compass, his guide (who's knowledge of the area is flawless) knows every ditch and riverbed you could possibly hide in.

With a strong background in forensic tracking and search and rescue, the Mantracker (known as Terry Grant to anyone but his prey) can pick up on even the slightest hint of your presence. An overturned rock, for example, can tell him which direction you were going.

This is all fun and games, of course. Mantracker is a reality show which runs on the Outdoor Life Network. Terry Grant plays Mantracker, a role he got by a little luck and someone who is, no doubt, his favourite cousin now.
